What About Now?

People spend so much time saying things like:
I used to be thinner.
I used to be faster.
I used to be
better.

Or things like:
I could be popular.
I could have seven cars.
I could stop drinking.

I think everybody does it, to some extent.  But maybe it’s time not to.  Time not to romanticise the past and turn the present into meaningless fantasy.  Maybe it’s time to think things like:
I am kind.
I can be better.
I will be anything I want.
