P.I.G.

The problem of immediate gratification is this:

Given the choice between one marshmallow now and two marshmallows later, most children choose the latter.  It matters, because though quantity does not ensure quality, the point of the experiment was to prove that the wait is worth it.

  1. LOL, I have read this experiment and my son would eat it now and gamble that he could wear me down enough to get more later on…sadly, this strategy works some of the time….
